For the second time, Women In Crisis will host a Rose Campaign in Sault Ste. Marie throughout the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. During these 16 days, beginning November 25, worldwide we join together to shine the light and break the silence on Gender-Based Violence.
Our goal is simple. We wish to shine the light on 16 incredible women in our community who are dedicated to ending violence against women. We also wish to honour the memory of the 14 women who lost their lives on Dec. 6, 1989 and for all women who have died or endured gender based violence.
Our hope is that by shining the light on specific women in this community, a flame will be ignited in others to follow their lead.
Throughout the 16 days of activism and after - each of you carry a vital role in the work to end gender based violence. Will you join us and Be A Light?
