16 Days of Activism | Rose Campaign 2020

We were pleased to hold for the 2nd annual year the Rose Campaign in Sault Ste. Marie.

16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is a time to take action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

When we initially planned this campaign our hope was to shine the light on 16 incredible women in our community dedicated to ending violence against women while honouring the memory of the 14 women who lost their lives on Dec. 6, 1989 and for all women who have died or endured gender based violence.

We never imagined the rippling impact a simple campaign highlighting the strong women that are currently working with diligence to let their lights shine around them would have on the rest of our community.

We are incredibly grateful for strong women in our midst who are determined to see change come for future generations and who let their inner strength and vision guide those around them.

Although the 16 days of activism has concluded for yet another year, the work is not done. Each one of you is vital in the work to end gender based violence. As we conclude the Rose Campaign for 2020, we pass the torch onto you.
